Patch day — how long are we usually down

Not my first patch with this but the first one where my squad is actually free to play that night. Are we talking hours or like a full evening. Trying to plan around it instead of sitting in a lobby staring at an error

Closed threadDepends entirely on what they changed. Cosmetic patch, you're back in an hour. Anything touching memory, could be most of the day

Basically yes. Updates are free while you're subbed so it's not a cost thing, it's a patience thing
Been through four of these and the longest was about six hours. Annoying but not the disaster people make it out to be
The forum during a patch is always 60 threads of "is it up yet" so at least you're not alone in the misery
